Hi, I’m Kai.
An award winning, digital driven integrated creative based in Berlin.


I am currently Group Creative Director at R/GA Berlin where I'm responsible for leading the campaign creation and growing the agencies creative team.

Before I worked as the Executive Creative Director for Jung von Matt/SPORTS where I lead the creative department. The clients I worked for with my team included adidas, Intersport, the German Football Association (DFB) and the German Olympic Organisation (DOSB) to name a few. Was also the creative lead for Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

Prior, I was Creative Director and United Lead for HEIMAT, Berlin where I built and lead a digital driven integrated unit. Clients I worked with included Google, The Coca-Cola Company (Fanta), adidas, HORNBACH and CNN international. During my time at HEIMAT, I won numerous national and international awards, including 3 Grand Prixs for THE HORNBACH HAMMER.

I began my advertising career at Jung von Matt/NECKAR in Stuttgart, joining the agency as a Junior Art Director, and working my way up to creative director and creative lead of the agency’s digital unit. During my time in Stuttgart, I had the opportunity to work with big-name clients including Nike, Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, Bitburger, Nikon and Gore-Tex.

I studied media design at the University of Cooperative Eduction in Ravensburg located in the beautiful south of Germany. I graduated top of my class with a Diplom Mediendesigner (BA) and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors, first Class.

I’m a member of the Art Directors Club Germany and a frequent teacher at various design and advertising schools.

I love to run in my free time. In 2013 I co-founded the Berlin based running crew Run Pack Berlin that has grown to a „pack“ of nearly 100 runners since its creation.

In my career I have been fortunate to work with many exciting clients, including the worlds most prestigious sports brands - adidas and Nike.
At HEIMAT I worked for clients like HORNBACH, CNN and REWE. My team and I also won Google as new account for the agency.

At JUNG von MATT I had the pleasure to work on, and creatively lead, the opening campaign for the long awaited Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, which recently won 10 medals at Germany’s most important creative award ADC and a Cannes Lion.



My work has received recognition over the years having won more than 120 national and international awards including Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Art Directors Club and The One Show.
